SB Starter Academy

Service Description

Every athlete starts somewhere. SB Starter Academy helps beginner and/or developing players build volleyball skills, grow confidence, and learn to enjoy the game. Our 90-minute clinics combine clear instruction, purposeful repetitions, and game-based learning. Athletes practice serving, passing, setting, and hitting while developing movement, communication, and teamwork. WHAT TO EXPECT • Fundamental skills taught in approachable steps • Coaching feedback that helps athletes understand their next improvement • Drills and games that put new skills into action • A supportive environment that celebrates effort and progress • Groups capped at 20 athletes, with one lead coach and two assistants TRAINING SCHEDULE Mondays: 6–7:30 PM Sundays: 2–3:30 PM CHOOSE YOUR TRAINING Join a single clinic or build consistency with a membership: • Core Academy: 4 sessions per 4-week billing cycle • Accelerated Academy: 8 sessions per 4-week billing cycle Seasonal memberships are available November through May and renew every four weeks during the season. Offseason programs are offered separately. A PATHWAY TO GROW Coach assessments help identify strengths, development priorities, and appropriate next steps. As athletes progress, recommendations may include continued Academy training, SB Studio Sessions, or a City Team evaluation. WHAT TO BRING Athletic clothing, court shoes, a water bottle, and a willingness to learn. Knee pads are recommended. Advance registration is required.
