South Bay Volleyball Club is dedicated to providing young women an environment in which they may reach their full potential. We firmly believe in the concepts of team sports: competition, cooperation and dedication. These concepts will not only help in a volleyball career, but in academics and life. Our main objective is to provide an atmosphere in which these ideas are the norm, not the exception.
Our slogan is, "For Each Other & With Each Other." A volleyball team will not function unless the members believe in this idea. One of our primary objectives is to get each young lady to understand that once she becomes part of a team individual goals must mesh with team goals in order for the greatest successes to occur. South Bay Volleyball Club is committed to teaching the game of volleyball and all that team sports stand for.
South Bay Volleyball Club, located in Carson, California, is run under the direction of Larry Smoot. Larry has served as head coach of the club for 25 years. In that time, SBVC has earned a reputation for producing good players and people. More that 175 athletes have gone on to compete at the collegiate level.
This year we have 10 teams and have become one of the most respected clubs in the SCVA. The strength of our club lies in the combination of an excellent coaching staff, hard working and talented athletes, as well as supportive parents.
South Bay VBC practices exclusively at the The Home Depot Center Velodrome, complete with 5 new wood courts.
