14's Division Coaches

Jen Haney

Keleise Tupuola

Keleise is entering her 4th season with South Bay Volleyball club coaching the 14-1 and 17-Gold teams. She was a 1st team all-conference outside hitter at Humboldt State University where she is currently listed in the record books in career kills, attempts, and digs. Last year, Kelesie played professionally in Samoa. She enjoyed her experience and hopes to go back one day.

Jody Carlson

Jody Carlson

Jody played volleyball at Loyola Marymount University as an Outside Hitter and an Opposite. During her time there, Jody was named to the West Coast Conference All-Academic Team as we ll as being named the Team High GPA for her final two years. In her final season at LMU, Jody was voted by her teammates and her coaches as "Most Inspirational" after learning to play left handed after serious injury to her right shoulder.

This is Jody's 5th year with South Bay. She has coached both the 16's and 14's levels. During the summers, Jody spends most of her time working volleyball and basketball camps at LMU.

Mike Marconi

Mike Marconi

Mike Marconi has coached with the South Bay Volleyball club for the past 6 seasons and is currently coaching the 13-1 team . Prior to joining South Bay he coached at Palos Verdes Volleyball Club - 13 seasons and Hilltop Volleyball Club - 1 season.

He has also coached at many of the local area high schools, West Torrance - 7 seasons, Torrance - 1 season, North Torrance - 1 season, and Mary Star of the Sea - 4 seasons.

Jody Carlson

Chelsea Miller

Chelsea graduated from South High school in 2006 where she played volleyball for four years.  As a junior starter, her team defeated nationally ranked Mira Costa giving the Mustangs their first league loss in almost 20 years. They ended the season as South’s first CIF Division IIA champions.  Chelsea is starting her fourth year as a volleyball referee with SCVA and has previously coached for both Palos Verdes VBC and South High's freshman team.  She is finishing her general education at El Camino College and will be transferring to Biola University for the 2008 spring semester to major in Philosophy.

Chelsea played two years for South Bay in high school and was invited back to play with the 2006 18-1s team for the Junior Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia.  This is her first year coaching for the club.
